It’s been a few days since I’ve returned from a brief nature retreat and I’m still starry-eyed from seeing the tiniest crescent of a waxing Moon in the western sky! This appeared just one day after Sunday’s New Moon in Leo as the Moon and Sun were separating from their conjunction. The stuff of poetry!
Today’s lunar phase highlights all the ways that art and beauty soften and heal our hearts. Take some time to pause, be with and appreciate something that brings you grace. Friday is Venus’s Day and the Moon waxing in Libra wants us to explore our own Venusian qualities.
It’s also Friday the 13th, Witches!! I can go down a rabbit hole researching the theories as to why this day was considered unlucky – instead, I’m claiming this:
– Friday is the day of Venus, the goddess of love, arts, diplomacy, and beauty
– A year has 13 Moons. And the Moon influences ocean tides and the watery realms of our emotions.
– There are 5 Venus cycles that occur every 8 years and in that 8 years, Venus goes around the Sun 13 times.
– Therefore: Friday the 13th is a great day to feel love, be loved, make love, and celebrate beauty and the magic of the stars. Honor the goddess, the divine within, the fragility and fierceness of nature, and the once-clear night sky.
And look up – the Perseids are still peaking!
