Mind Magic Friday
Today is an especially good day to tune into your inner Sage and allies and lean on these evergreen resources within you to shine a light on lurking saboteur activity. We’re in the heart of mid-winter and the ambiguity of the pandemic, coupled with premature mandate lifting, can leave us all feeling frayed, frazzled, restless, depleted, angry…these and any other emotions are normal responses to being human through times of great uncertainty! Today, remember your practice. It may include one or all of the following:
1. Activate your connection with your inner guides.
2. Name (and tame) any saboteur activity – notice it and you start to diminish its power over you.
3. Build your self-command muscle through regular, momentary pauses focused on one sense – touch, hearing, seeing, taste, smell – at a time (aka PQ Reps).
4. Bonus for Moon Magic practitioners – bring intention to your moment. Step outside and savor some time in Nature. Look at the sky and connect with the waxing crescent Moon, like a little jewel reminding you of your connection to All-Things…
You got this!
Here are a few dates to have on your PQ radar:
Mind Magic/Mental Fitness Monthly. Free drop-in group for alumnae of the Mental Fitness Challenge. Dive deeper into each of the 9 saboteurs, learn to recognize the Judge more quickly, activate your Sage more consistently, and continue building your self-command muscle. This month, we’ll focus on the antics of the Judge and the Avoider saboteurs, and explore some specific tips to recognize and address these saboteurs in yourself and others. We’ll be moving through each saboteur alphabetically in the months ahead. Monday, February 28. 6:15-7:30 pm/MST.
Intro to Mind Magic/Mental Fitness. Free overview for anyone considering the 7-week Mental Fitness Challenge. Based on the book, Positive Intelligence: Why Only 20% of Teams and Individuals Achieve Their True Potential and How You Can Achieve Yours by Shirzad Chamine, a mental fitness practice helps you identify and intercept your sabotaging behaviors, strengthen your inner wisdom and build your self-command muscle. If you’re finding it easier to default to the negative, this work will help you re-center the positive and reconnect with the wisest, most resourceful parts of yourself. Wednesday, March 16 from 6:30-7:45 pm/MST or Saturday, March 26 from 10:30 – 11:45 am/MST. The next Challenge will start on Monday, April 4.
Zoom provided with RSVPs. Please spread the word about both opportunities!
