I want to say how refreshing it has been for me to witness the group engage and support one another during the meetings you worked with us. Having that as an intended focus, along with your facilitation, felt productive and meaningful.
About NLP
NLP ("Neuro Linguistic Programming") has been described as a ‘users-manual’ for your brain. It is the science and art of communication, of understanding how our minds work, and the structure of our experiences. This structure is reflected in and reinforced by our language, both what we say to others and what we say to ourselves, and is mostly unconscious - the 'patterns' we enact all the time. At its simplest, if we become more aware of these patterns and their underlying structure, we have choices - choices that can help us change limiting experiences and reach our desired outcomes more quickly and efficiently.
Teams and individuals can use these strategies to create a clear set of measurable goals, as well as discover the blocks to success. Blocks can come in the form of
- motivation issues
- conflict within and among teams
- challenges to integrate a truly effective and meaningful 'diversity model'
- limiting beliefs about the world, self, or others
- ineffective decision making strategies
- lack of focus
- time management
- disorganization
You name it! we can all be very creative with our blocks - and we can be just as creative in finding solutions!
"Measurable goals" that we can create together can include:
- identify and change limiting habits and repetitive behavior patterns
- run effective meetings
- resolve conflict
- motivate and influence others ethically, based on their values and criteria
- get the results you want
- establish genuine connection with others, quickly and easily
- use your own creativity to overcome any challenges you may face
It is such an honor to do this work. Please let me know if you have any questions!
